Arpita Muchhal, Principal of Arpita Muchhal Design LLC, has been designing residential and commercial spaces for almost 25 years. Arpita worked on several projects, residential and commercial in India before immigrating to the Greater New York area in 1998.

While working with Bruce Beinfield, at Beinfield Architecture, Arpita honed her skills in the nuances of New England architecture and perfected the ability to meld traditional forms with today’s lifestyle. In 2008, she went on to establish her own firm, Arpita Muchhal Design LLC, in Darien CT, which specializes in residential structures with expertise in historic homes and sustainable architecture.

Arpita attained her Bachelor of Architecture from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda. She has a Diploma in Business Management from Bhartiya Vidhya Bhavan, Mumbai. Her passion for sustainability made her pursue her Leed AP over a decade ago.

As an active volunteer in the local community, Arpita served on the Darien Representive Town Members for a number of years, and started a movement for inclusivity through Passport Days, a bi-annual event at the Tokeneke & Ox Ridge elementary schools. She serves as the Property VP for the Board of Directors at the Darien Community Association.
