This enviable Darien waterfront property was situated in a flood zone. Working with engineers, it became one of the first projects in the state that was elevated from the flood zone to incorporate a basement. To create a feeling of timelessness and individualism, the design incorporated tall ceilings, a deep front porch, a large patio, fireplaces, plaster walls, antique wood, and inside-outside spaces for maximum effect.
